Leave serving, turning, and chair-pull space between the table, wall, and sofa back. A good-looking cabinet still fails if it takes the walkway. In an open living-dining room, the sideboard can become the visual boundary. Keep wood tone, table legs, cabinet doors, and lighting in one direction.
